Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese took the floor together at WNBA All-Star weekend practice on Friday. The two rivals will partner up for the first time on Team WNBA in this weekend's game against Team USA.

During their drills, the Indiana Fever guard found the Chicago Sky forward in the paint for a layup, and fans were loving the connection.

Clark and Reese have been competing against each other for years at the college and now professional levels. They battled in the NCAA, where Clark was a superstar with the Iowa Hawkeyes and Reese was a proven winner with the LSU Tigers.

They're two of the most popular names in women's sports, so fans were quick to comment on the rookies sharing the floor.

"FUTURE OF THE WNBA," said one fan with a flexing emoji.

"Imagine how good Angel would be if she could get passes from CC. So excited to see that hook up. I hope they destroy team USA," said another.

    "Changed the game," commented another.

Both are competing for the league's Rookie of the Year award. Clark has averaged 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game, while Reese has posted 13.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game this season.

They're also neck-and-neck in the league standings, with the Fever sitting at No. 7 in the Eastern Conference standings with an 11-15 record and the Sky one spot behind at No. 8 with a 10-14 record.

WNBA fans have been raving about the two young stars all season, so they quickly blew up social media once they interacted with one another as teammates in a drill.

Clark and Reese will share the floor on July 20 at 8:30 p.m. ET, marking the first team-up of their career.

"The best combo in the W," commented another fan.
