Vigo Co. Parks hold Family Olympic Races at Fowler Park

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – As the countdown continues to the Summer Olympic Games, local families are getting in on the fun.

Friday, Vigo County Parks held Family Olympic Races. Families came out to Fowler Park and competed in obstacle courses, kayak races, and other games.

The Parks Department’s Natural Resource Programmer Heather Cosme Milian said they love it when they can combine activities with real world events.

“It is a way that we can bring in the outside world into the parks and celebrate, have fun, and get families out here together to enjoy some family time,” she said.
