One thing every NASCAR driver dreams about is winning at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Ryan Blaney is no different. Except, Blaney is going to do more than just kiss the bricks if he gets a chance.

Ryan Blaney is coming off a win at Pocono Raceway. He has two wins on the season and is hoping that he can add another this weekend at Indy. Blaney has already decided on his celebration, too.

Tony Donohue asked Blaney what it would mean to win at Indianapolis. As a Team Penske driver, it would be that much cooler. And Blaney is taking a page out of Tyler Reddick’s book, no kissing, he’s gonna lick the bricks.

“I don’t know. I mean, it’s try to find yourself out front at the right time on the last lap, I guess, I don’t know,” Blaney said. “Get a better idea of how our speed is like today, hopefully, we’ll qualify well. Find ourselves on good strategy during the race. Kissing the bricks is like a dream come true, ask anybody that’s what they want to do. I’m going to lick the bricks if I win, that’s for sure, it’s going to be nasty, but it’s going to happen.

“That’s just what everyone wants to do, they’ve seen it growing up on TV for however long they’ve been watching racing and IndyCars in general. I don’t know when they started kissing the bricks but to be able to do that with RP [Roger Penske], that would be the coolest moment of my life.”

If Ryan Blaney goes to Victory Lane on Sunday, he’s going to make it memorable. Team Penske has had a lot of good luck this season between NASCAR and IndyCar, lots of wins and big moments.

As the Cup Series returns to race on the oval at Indy, could it be another big moment for Penske? Blaney is saving his best for the playoffs. He will be ready for the postseason and he’s already began to build momentum.

During practice for the NASCAR Cup Series, Blaney had good speed. He was P2 in single-lap speed. However, he wasn’t as fast as Tyler Reddick, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Larson in five and ten-lap speed. An adjustment here and there could have Blaney on par with those three.

As the regular season begins to wane, drivers are fighting for every point and win that they can get. Is Ryan Blaney on his way to a third win and licking the bricks at Indianapolis?
