WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Kansas Highway Patrol motorcycle chase that started in Ellsworth County ended west of Grainfield in Gove County on Friday.

The KHP told KSN that a trooper in Ellsworth County attempted to stop the motorcyclist on Kansas Highway 14 for driving 20 miles per hour over the speed limit.

The pursuit ended on Interstate 70. A KHP aircraft then got involved. The KHP backed off, and other law enforcement agencies blocked the on- and off-ramps along the interstate to keep the motorcyclist on the highway.

The KHP said the motorcyclist was eventually apprehended around 4 p.m. at mile marker 87, which is west of Grainfield.
