Rudy Gobert Fuels Mavericks Beef With Disrespectful Play In Canada-France

Rudy Gobert might not be over their loss in the NBA playoffs. The Minnesota Timberwolves center squared off in an Olympic scrimmage with Dwight Powell's Team Canada. Gobert's French squad ended up losing the game, but not before the former DPOY took aim at the Dallas Mavericks center... quite literally.

The play shows Gobert getting pushed out of bounds by Powell during the fourth quarter. In an effort to keep possession, Gobert threw the ball at the Canadian center. Only, instead of throwing it at his feet, the ball hit Powell's face.

Gobert's Timberwolves were eliminated by Powell's Mavericks in the second round of the NBA playoffs. In that series, Gobert got into it with star point guard Luka Doncic. Some fans have posited that the former DPOY was still not over their loss.

The French squad, led by Rudy Gobert and reigning Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama, lost the scrimmage to Canada. Both squads are preparing for the Olympics, which will be held in Paris.
