Tiger Woods Missesd British Open Cut, Revealed His Future Golf Schedule

Fifteen-time major champion Tiger Woods missed the cut at the 152nd Open Championship on Friday (July 19), which he revealed will conclude his PGA Tour season.

Woods, 48, finished 6-over 77 for the second round and 14-over 156 for his first two rounds, 10 strokes over the projected cut line of 4-over par.

"Well, it wasn't very good," Woods said Friday via ESPN . "I made a double there at 2 right out of the hopper when I needed to go the other way. Just was fighting it pretty much all day. I never really hit it close enough to make birdies and consequently made a lot of bogeys."

The legendary golfer has missed the cut or withdrawn in six of his past seven major events and finished the British Open with his worst score to par after the first two rounds in 23 starts at the tournament, with his previous worst coming during a 9-over performance through 36 holes at St. Andrews in 2022. Woods said he won't compete in a tournament until the Hero World Challenge, an unofficial event he hosts in the Bahamas, on December 5-8, and will also play alongside his son, Charlie , in the PNC Championship, another unofficial event in Orlando, Florida, on December 19-22.

Woods, widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential golfers of all-time ranks second all-time behind only Jack Nicklaus (18) in career majors and has 82 PGA Tour victories, tied with Sam Snead for the most all-time.
