No need to get frosty — National Ice Cream Day (July 21 this year) is almost here and stores throughout metro Phoenix are offering freebies and discounts.
In 1984, President Ronald Regan declared the third Sunday of July as National Ice Cream Day and July as National Ice Cream Month.
About 97% of Americans either love or like ice cream, according to a 2024 survey conducted by the International Dairy Foods Association and Morning Consult. Per the survey, the respondents' top five flavors are vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, butter pecan and cookie dough.
America's favorite ice cream topping? Hot fudge. That gooey delight is preferred by 35% of consumers, followed by whipped cream at 29%, caramel sauce at 24% and chocolate sauce at 21%.

During National Ice Cream Month in July, Royal Perks loyalty members can get a soft serve cone or cup for 150 Crowns instead of the usual 250 Crowns.
Crispy Cones
During July you can get 50% off all pints ordered on the Crispy Cones website. On Saturday, July 20 you can get $1 ice cream cups with one topping and one sauce in stores.
DoorDash
DashPass subscribers can get unlimited $0 delivery fees and lower service fees on eligible orders from July 18-24. You can also get $6 off when you buy two of any Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, Talenti, Popsicle, Good Humor, Klondike, Yaso, and Breyers products.
GoPuff
On July 21, you can get a free pint of Talenti Gelato for a purchase of $30 or more. The offer automatically applies at checkout while supplies last. There are also other Ice Cream Week deals including 30% off Magnum, Bomb Pop, ICEE, Yasso and more.
