Williamsport, Pa. — In an effort to give citizens the opportunity to interact with police in a casual, stress-free environment, departments across the country have been hosting Nights Out. More carnival than CSI, National Nights Out help establish camaraderie and partnerships between the police and the communities that they serve.

On Aug. 4, the Lycoming Regional Police Department will host three NNO events at Fairlawn Community Church, Old Lycoming Township Park, and Crossroads Church. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in all three locations.

A major sponsor of this year's Lycoming Nights Out is Seneca Resources. On July 15, the company donated to the organizations that are partnering for this year's Lycoming County NNO.

“We are excited that Seneca is again sponsoring this important event in our region. National Night Out events are one way we strive together to make our communities safer, more caring places to live,” commented Captain Chris Kriner, Lycoming Regional Police.
