Si Woo Kim etched his name into The Open Championship lore with a record-setting hole-in-one during the third round of the 2024 Open at Royal Troon.

Kim put his tee shot on the par-3, 238-yard No. 17 into the hole to set the record for the longest ace at The Open Championship in recorded history (since 1980).

His incredible shot capped an otherwise frustrating round for the South Korean golfer. He bogeyed three of his first four holes and was +2 for the day before teeing off at 17.

Kim finished the round at par (71), rising five spots on the leaderboard to a tie for 49th.

Kim shot a 76 in the opening round and finished right above the cut line (+6) after shooting a 71 on Friday.
