And now, she’s starring as Hope Goldman in the upcoming thriller, Skincare, and it’s influenced her parenting, in a shocking turn of events.

The movie Skincare will be released in 2024, starring Banks, Nathan Fillion, MJ Rodriguez, and more. It follows Banks’ character, who is a famed aesthetician that faces sabotage when a rival comes to town, and she’s committed to shutting her rival down.

Now, for the role, Banks told Entertainment Weekly how she talked to experts on how to give facials, a skill that bled into parenting. Specifically, Banks said in a rare interview that her younger son Magnus now loves getting facials , and she incorporates it into his nighttime routine.

“He’ll come to me and probably, I would say once a month, just be like, ‘Mommy, can I have a facial tonight before bed?’ And it becomes our bedtime routine, and I’m really loving having that experience with him,” she said, then joking that “For sure, giving facials to my kid is the number one thing I’m taking away from the film.”

Honestly, we adore the fact that she’s implementing wellness techniques into his nighttime routine, and it’s kind of iconic that it came from a thriller.

For those who don’t know, Banks and her husband Max Handelman met back in college, in 1992. After years of dating, they married in 2003.
