The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game did not disappoint, as Team WNBA pulled out a 117-109 win over Team USA.

This isn't the first time Team WNBA and Team USA have faced off. The 2021 All-Star Game also served as an Olympic tune-up, and Team WNBA also emerged victorious then, taking down Team USA ahead of the Tokyo Games.

That's not the only thing the 2021 All-Star Game has in common with this year: Both have the same MVP. The star hooper had a record-setting night Saturday and became just the fourth player to win multiple WNBA All-Star Game MVP awards.

The other three? Maya Moore, Swin Cash and Lisa Leslie. That's some pretty darn good company.

Which player won the 2024 All-Star Game MVP? Here's what you need to know.

    Who won WNBA All-Star MVP?

Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale won her second career All-Star Game MVP award after a stunning 34-point performance, good enough to break the event's all-time scoring record . She shot 50% on the night, going 8-for-13 from 3-point range. She added six assists and three rebounds.

Ogunbowale bested her performance from 2021, which saw her score 26 points. She still led all scorers that year and shot 50% from beyond the arc, going 10-of-18 from the field.

One thing's for sure. This year's trophy is just a little bit more impressive.

Full list of WNBA All-Star MVPs

The top All-Star Game performer has been given an All-Star Game MVP award since 1999. There was no All-Star Game in 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 due to the Summer Olympics, and in 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the competition as well.

In 2010, the "Stars at the Sun" game was held in place of an All-Star Game. The game featured Team USA, which was scheduled to compete at the upcoming 2010 FIBA World Championship, facing off against a team of the WNBA's best, though it was not considered an All-Star Game.
