    2024 Open Championship final-round odds, golfers to watch

    Three rounds are in the book at the 2024 Open Championship and only 9 golfers are under par in the 152nd tournament. Below, we look at BetMGM Sportsbook’s 2024 Open Championship odds entering Sunday’s final round being played in Scotland.     Billy Horschel is at 4-under-par 209 and will take a 1-stroke lead into Sunday’s final round at Royal Troon (7,385 yards, par 71). Horschel is the No. 44 player in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.

    Pre-tournament favorite Scottie Scheffler (+550 to open the week) is in 8th place 2 shots back at 2-under after rounds of 70-70-71. He’s at +375 to win. Defending champion Brian Harman , who won at 13-under 271, is tied for 40th place at 5-over after shooting 73-73-72. He opened at +6600 to win.

    Thriston Lawrence (+1400)

    The 27-year-old pro from South Africa, who opened at +20000 to win, shot a 6-under 65 to go with a 71-74 and starts tied for 2nd place, 1 shot back. The No. 148 player in Golfweek’s rankings is trying for his 1st career title in his 13 tour event.

    2024 Open Championship – In the hunt

    Before the final group tees off at 8:25 a.m. ET (USA 4-7 a.m. ET; NBC 7 a.m.-2 p.m.), here are the 6 other players under par to watch as they try to chase down Horschel.

    Sam Burns (+800): Golfweek’s No. 42 player starts tied for 2nd place 2 shots back at 3-under after rounds of 76-69-65. He opened at +10000.

    Russell Henley (+900): He starts tied for 2nd place 2 shots back at 3-under after rounds of 69-75-66. Golfweek’s No. 8 player opened at +12500.

    Xander Schauffele (+350): Golfweek’s No. 2 player starts tied for 2nd place 2 shots back at 3-under after rounds of 69-72-69. He opened at +1400.

    Justin Rose (+800): He starts tied for 2nd place 2 shots back at 3-under after rounds of 69-68-73. Golfweek’s No. 92 player opened at +15000.
