Team WNBA emerged victorious in a high-scoring 117-109 matchup against Team USA in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game.
Arike Ogunbowale broke the event's all-time scoring record with 34 points for Team WNBA, while Team USA's Breanna Stewart challenged with 31 of her own. Ogunbowale scored all 34 of her points in the second half, including a 21-point third quarter, to earn the MVP award .
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese made their All-Star Game debuts , and both did what they do best. Reese notched a double-double, while Clark collected 10 assists, one away from the all-time All-Star record.
Even though Team WNBA came out on top, there's little to worry about for Team USA ahead of the Summer Games. A'ja Wilson scored 22 points and Diana Taurasi scored 14 heading into her sixth Olympics, where she is seeking a record sixth gold medal. Stewart also came away with a double-double, adding 10 rebounds to her stat line.

10:40 p.m. — Team USA is slowly inching back into contention after points from Wilson and Ionescu pull them within six of Team WNBA. Nevertheless, Ogunbowale is fouled and sent to the line to ice it with less than 10 seconds remaining, and the All-Stars take home the win.
10:37 p.m. — Stewart has quietly been keeping up with Ogunbowale and she is at 31 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.
10:35 p.m. — This might as well be the Arike Ogunbowale Game because she has set the record for most points scored in the All-Star Game with 32 points after yet another layup and three-pointer. Team USA might as well call it a night as Team WNBA leads 113-100 with 1:37 to go.
10:31 p.m. — Reese, doing what she does best, now has a 10 point, 10 rebound double-double in her first All-Star Game. Oh, and she scored on an assist from Clark.
10:30 p.m. — OGUNBOWALE WITH ANOTHER THREE AND A JUMPER. She is sitting pretty at 29 points, all in the second half. Taurasi and Stewart score as well but Team USA is in a pretty big hole, down 108-91 with just over three minutes to go.
10:27 p.m. — Team WNBA eclipses the 100 point mark after two free throws and a layup from Allisha Gray. They are now up on Team USA by 15.
10:24 p.m. — Clark scores her second basket of the game. She is at 10 assists, one away from breaking the All-Star Game record. Reese is at nine rebounds and Ogunbowale leads all scorers with 24 points. Stewart has 21 for Team USA and is nearing a double-double with seven rebounds herself.
10:22 p.m. — Ionescu hits a shot sandwiched by two Reese field-goals. Team WNBA still leads Team USA 95-86 with six minutes left in the final quarter.
10:20 p.m. — OGUNBOWALE HITS ANOTHER THREE. She will not be contained!
End of third quarter: Team WNBA 88, Team USA 79
10:12 p.m. — Plum and Griner both score for Team USA before Mitchell hits a jumper at the buzzer, ending the third quarter for Team WNBA up nine. But let it be known, that quarter was ALL Ogunbowale.
10:11 p.m. — Ogunbowale is up to 21(!) points in just the third quarter. Someone heat check her.
10:06 p.m. — Ogunbowale is going bonkers, hitting her fourth straight three as both teams trade points. She has 17 points on the night, all coming in the third quarter. Team WNBA still leads 80-75 with under two minutes to go in the frame.
10:03 p.m. — Team WNBA is on a 14-2 run as Ogunbowale sinks a three for her eighth point of the game. The All-Stars lead Team USA by eight.
9:58 p.m. — Clark has set the rookie assist record in the All-Star Game with nine and we're not even halfway through the third quarter. Jonquel Jones makes a layup and Team WNBA now leads the national team 61-56 with 7:32 remaining in the third.
9:55 p.m. — Chelsea Gray makes a layup but back-to-back scores from Ogunbowale and Ogwumike tie the game at 56. Ogunbowale then hits a 27-foot three-pointer to steal the lead for Team WNBA.
Halftime: Team USA 54, Team WNBA 52
9:32 p.m. — Brionna Jones scores a field goal at the buzzer to keep Team WNBA within two at the half. Unfortunately, Taurasi looks as though she tweaked her neck just before the quarter ended.
And don't forget, Pitbull is set to perform at the break!
9:30 p.m. — Stewart tacks on two free throws and a floater for her 14th point on the night, now leading all scorers ahead of Wilson, who has 13. Clark has six assists so far and Reese has seven rebounds, both leading in their respective stat categories.
9:28 p.m. — Allisha Gray nails three free throws to tie the game but Stewart answers with a three herself to keep Team USA out front.
9:22 p.m. — Allisha Gray looks as sharp as she did in the 3-Point Contest last night and sinks a basket from beyond the arc. Taurasi follows that up with a driving layup to maintain Team USA's 48-45 lead heading into the final two minutes of play before halftime.
9:15 p.m. — Clark scores her first points of the game sandwiched in between two Wilson baskets. Wilson has passed Ogwumike as the game's leading scorer with nine points so far.
9:13 p.m. — Taurasi makes a driving layup assisted by Wilson before Team WNBA takes a timeout. Team USA is up 35-32 with 5:49 before half.
9:11 p.m. — Clark and Reese are on the court together for the first time! Reese already has five rebounds in three minutes of play while Clark has three assists in eight minutes.
9:10 p.m. — After trading points for a couple of minutes, Thomas finally makes a layup to put Team USA back out in front. The national team leads 31-30 with 7:22 remaining in the second.
9:06 p.m. — Fever teammates Clark and Boston connect as Boston lays in a shot. Jonquel Jones follows that up with another field-goal, also assisted by Clark, to put Team WNBA up 28-23.
End of first quarter: Team WNBA 24, Team USA 23
9:00 p.m. — Griner and Mitchell trade field goals before Reese earns her first basket of the All-Star Game to give Team WNBA its first lead of the night.
8:57 p.m. — Wilson drains a three and McBride responds with a triple on the other end, keeping Team WNBA within one. Team USA remains in front 21-20 at the first media timeout with 1:35 remaining in the first quarter.
8:55 p.m. — Despite Team USA being in front, Ogwumike is on fire, scoring eight points in the first seven minutes of play.
8:53 p.m. — Griner makes back-to-back field goals to extend Team USA's lead after another basket from Ogwumike.
8:50 p.m. — Bonner and Ogwumike have combined for all nine of Team WNBA's point as they close in on Team USA's early lead— Team USA is up 10-9 with 5:47 remaining in the first quarter.
8:46 p.m. — Taurasi opens scoring with a three to put Team USA up first, and Team WNBA can't finish on their first possession.
8:35 p.m. — Coverage has begun for the 2024 All-Star Game on ABC. Both teams' reserves and starters are being announced ahead of tip.

8:27 p.m. — Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird are among the stars sitting court-side for the All-Star Game. Three minutes to go before tip-off!
8:05 p.m. — Starters have been announced for both teams less than 30 minutes from tip off. Notably, Fever rookie Caitlin Clark will start in her first All-Star Game.
8:00 p.m. — "WNBA Countdown" is beginning on ABC ahead of the All-Star Game.
7:25 p.m. — Team USA and Team WNBA had their official All-Star photos taken before the game fully decked out in their uniforms.
7:00 p.m. — Attendees of this year's All-Star Game will receive an orange T-shirt commemorating the matchup, and to be honest, they're kind of really cool.
6:55 p.m. — Team USA has arrived at the Footprint Center as well. Head coach Cheryl Reeve said tonight's game is "one of the greatest spectacles in the history of our league" while addressing the media ahead of the matchup.
