    Angel Reese Earns New Nickname After 2024 WNBA All-Star Game

    Angel Reese punctuated Team WNBA's 117-109 win over Team USA in the WNBA All-Star Game with an emphatic post on social media.

    "ALL-STAR BARBIEEEE," Reese wrote after scoring 12 points and nabbing 11 rebounds. At LSU, she earned the nickname "Bayou Barbie."

    Per StatMamba , she's the first player in WNBA history to post a double-double in the All-Star Game as a rookie.

    Reese recently set the new WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles with 15. She is averaging 13.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per game, which ranks second in the league.

    The first in the league in offensive rebounds, she had a game-high five offensive rebounds on Saturday night.

    Reese shot 5-of-10 from the court and added a steal and a block in her first All-Star appearance.

    Reese and the Sky will next be back in action on Aug. 15 following the WNBA's break for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
