Rebecca Lobo's Reaction To Angel Reese's WNBA All-Star Play Tells Us Everything

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese caught the attention of basketball legend Rebecca Lobo as she was covering the WNBA All-Star game on ESPN.

In the fourth quarter of the game, Reese displayed her athleticism, reeling in a long pass from Jonquel Jones that resulted in a layup for the rookie star.

The play was impressive all around — from Jones’ pass to Reese’s catch and finish. The bucket resulted in Lobo showing high praise to the first-year star out of LSU.

Lobo commented on the play live on ESPN, giving her applause to the rookie out of LSU.

"An incredible catch and finish. For Angel Reese to be able to corral that and finish. Well done!" Lobo proclaimed after the score.

Reese finished the WNBA All-Star victory with 12 points and 11 rebounds. The 22-year-old helped Team WNBA defeat Team USA, 117-109.

Reese and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark were the first two rookies featured on the same roster at WNBA All-Star weekend since 2014.

Both players have been battling for the league's Rookie of the Year award, with Reese averaging 13.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per game, while Clark has posted 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game.

Lobo's respect for Reese was shown in her reaction to the rookie's layup at the WNBA All-Star game. The 6-foot-3 forward has garnered leaguewide attention throughout the season , with many veterans praising the young star for her skill set.
