A lot of fans tuned into the All-Star Game to watch Caitlin Clark. It makes sense: Clark is the most popular player right now in the league. However, some might feel that Clark did not play as many minutes as fans wanted in the contest.

As it turns out, that was Clark's own decision. In the post-game press conference, the Fever star revealed that she declined coach Cheryl Miller's decision to sub her in.

The reason? Well, she was going to replace the white-hot Arike Ogunbowale. With Ogunbowale cooking up a masterpiece, Clark was fine with just being a fan and admiring greatness unfold.

Clark did pretty well for herself in her first All-Star appearance. The Fever star only scored four points, but she went and recorded ten assists in the game. It was clear that she was content to be a playmaker with the talent around her.

Ogunbowale took home the WNBA All-Star MVP after a record-setting performance. The Dallas Wings guard started off with no points, but she finished the game with 34 points on 50% shooting.
