    Arike Ogunbowale's Heartfelt Embrace With Mother Captured On Camera After Historic All-Star Game Performance

    Arike Ogunbowale is a former University of Notre Dame and current Dallas Wings guard who captured the WNBA All-Star Game MVP Trophy with her stellar performance in victory over Team USA on Saturday night in Phoenix, AZ.

    After the game, the WNBA stars gathered around their teammate as chants of "MVP!" rang out from the group and the remaining Footprint Center fans.

    The WNBA All-Stars shared a few minutes of camaraderie and celebration as the trophy was presented to the 5-foot-8 guard Ogunbowale, who scored 34 points to lead all participants and dished out six assists on the evening.

    "All Stars on three!" the group chanted as they broke huddle with Ogunbowale telling a reporter that she felt great and that the game was "all about the W."

    Ogunbowale remained in a serious mode throughout the trophy presentation as she turned to her teammates, who had a surprise for her.

    The ex-Irish star's teammates simultaneously and excitedly exhaled in a show of support for their teammate, encouraging her to relax and enjoy the moment.

    It was then that WNBA social media cameras captured Ogunbowale as she spotted her mother courtside, exclaiming "Hi Mom!" as she sealed her incredible performance with a hug.
