Tottenham are expected to spend a large amount of money on a marquee striker this summer, and Football Insider claims the Lilywhites "are continuing to keep close tabs" on Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

The report adds that Spurs remain active in the market for an A-list target-man striker, and head coach Ange Postecoglou is pressing the hierarchy to get a deal for Solanke over the line by the end of the transfer window.

Solanke recently put pen to paper on a new contract with Bournemouth, extending his stay at the Vitality Stadium until 2027, which means the club is in no rush to sell him.

As the highest-scoring English player in the Premier League with 20 goals, it's easy to see why Solanke is attracting significant interest. West Ham and Chelsea are among the clubs also keen on securing his signature.

Tottenham still searching for Harry Kane replacement

Harry Kane's departure for Bayern Munich has left Spurs with a massive void to fill at the No. 9 position, with Richarlison failing to step up in the absence of the England captain.

Spurs are said to be in constant contact with the representatives of Lille striker Jonathan David , who has entered the final year of his deal with the French outfit and could be available for around £25 million ($32m).

Solanke would likely cost Tottenham a lot more than that in terms of overall cost, but the one-cap England international is a proven commodity and boasts the ability to fit into Postecoglou's style of play.
