    Man, 32, shot and killed in Auburn Gresham neighborhood during physical altercation, police say

    CHICAGO — A 32 year-old man was shot and killed following an apparent physical altercation early Sunday morning in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the city’s South Side.

    According to Chicago police, the victim was involved in a physical altercation with two other men around 4:15 a.m. Sunday in the 7600 block of South Halsted Street when shots were fired. The 32-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police say.

    According to police, the offenders fled the scene in a dark gray Ford Escape in an unknown direction.

    No other injuries were reported, and Area Two detectives are investigating.
