    Lucca Comics & Games To Host The Amano Corpus Animae

    Lucca Comics & Games announced the hosting of Amano Corpus Animae, Yoshitaka Amano’s first European exhibition, from November 13th, 2024, to March 1st, 2025.

    Being curated by Favio Viola, Lucca Comics & Games will be hosting Yoshitaka Amano’s first exhibition in Europe, Amano Corpus Animae, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the master artist and showcasing over 120 original works to Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan. Alongside the exhibition, Lucca Comics & Games will launch a Kickstarter campaign ahead of the event with access to exclusive experiences and limited-edition products. Not only can they get limited-edition products, but there will be an opportunity to visit the exhibition accompanied by Amano himself, available to a limited number of fans!

    As you attend the Amano Corpus Animae exhibition, it will reflect the many faces of Yoshitaka Amano to celebrate his 50th year of crafting arts throughout many media. The exhibition will be separated into four sections to showcase Amano’s first drawing for animations in the Tatsunoko period all the way to drawings that have become iconic, such as his variant covers for Batman and Superman or his Vogue cover. There will also be a large section focused on his contribution to the video games industry and an original Final Fantasy drawing for the fans of the beloved series as it arrives in Europe for the first time. The final section will focus on his fine art productions establishing Amano as a master.

    As mentioned, Lucca Comics & Games will launch a Kickstarter campaign from July 18 at 9 PM CET/ noon EST to August 9 with an exclusive line of merchandise that could be purchased. Alongside the merchandise, there is a possible chance that your name could be inserted in the Backers Wall at the entrance of the exhibition, being part of history as a thank you for supporting Amano’s first European Exhibition, Amano Corpus Animae.

    As you join the Kickstarter Campaign, you will have access to an exclusive line of products created for the exhibition. The list of merchandise included are:

    • Limited Edition and Deluxe Edition autographed art prints.
    • Special Miniatures.
    • A silk scarf with artwork dedicated to Tosca in two sizes (140×80 and 40×40) with illustration from Amano to celebrate Puccini’s centenary.
    • The Poster of Lucca Comics & Games 2024.
    • The Tosca notebook.
    • Two original t-shirts with images inspired by Candy Girl and other characters from Amano’s famous video games.

    With the exhibition tickets, you will get access to not only the show itself but also all the events, workshops, talks, and artistic performances with illustrators, animators , designers, and stylists who are internationally renowned and will be animating the exhibition of the Master of Shizuoka during 100 days at Fabbrica del Vapore.

    With the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for Amano Corpus Animae, attendees can purchase an exclusive open-day ticket for the Lucca Comics & Games, as there will be 7,000 exclusive tickets available from the Kickstarter page. From October 30th to November 3rd, you can visit the exciting events on any day of your choice during the time it is running. Not to mention, you can visit the Amano Corpus Animae exhibition on selected days through a personalized visit guided by three artists and representatives of Lucca Comics & Games: Nicola De Gobbis, who is the founder of Need Games!, illustrator Paolo Barbieri and Christina Scabbia, a vocalist of the gothic metal band, Lacuna Coil .

    In addition to the poster inspired by Tosca being unveiled last June, Yoshitaka Amano has created two more posters for Lucca Comics & Games as they are part of the three acts linked to the Centenary of Puccini’s death. The next two posters will be revealed on September 25th and October 30th, but they will also be part of the Kickstarter Campaign, with the Deluxe Edition prints available to a limited number of fans.

    Hosted by Lucca Comics & Games, the Amano Corpus Animae will be held from November 13th, 2024 to March 1st, 2025 at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan.
