Ohio man charged after sending nude photos and trying to have sex with a juvenile

NOBLE COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — A Washington County man is facing charges of sexually oriented offenses involving a minor in Noble County, Ohio.

According to the Noble County Sheriff’s Office, Scott Armstrong, 43, was arrested on July 17 and transported to the Noble County Jail.

Sheriff Mackie stated, “Scott Armstrong pursued a juvenile whom he met over social media and was attempting to pick up the juvenile to engage in sexual activity. Armstrong exchanged nude images with the juvenile during communications that were sexually derived”.

Officials say on July 18, 2024, the Noble County Grand Jury indicted Armstrong for disseminating matters harmful to juveniles, a fifth-degree felony, and importuning a fourth-degree felony.

Armstrong remains in custody at the Noble County Jail.

Sheriff Mackie cautions parents of the dangers associated with juveniles having unrestricted access to social media platforms.
