Michael Jordan's Four-Word Message to U.S. Olympic Gymnast Revealed

Michael Jordan will have a very familiar name to cheer on when the Paris Olympics start later this week.

U.S. Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles this week revealed the supportive message that the elder Jordan sent to her. Taking to her Instagram stories, Chiles revealed a text message from the two-time gold medalist basketball star wishing her luck in the Summer Games.

"Here's to wishing you nothing but good luck," Jordan wrote, via The Daily Mail . "Let's catchup afterwards. Hope to see you soon. MJ."

The former Chicago Bulls star then ended his message with a four-word joke to Chiles.

"Btw love the name," Jordan wrote.

The name is no coincidence. Chiles told People magazine last year that her mother was inspired by Jordan's drive and commitment, deciding to name her daughter after the NBA legend.

"She felt the inspiration that he gave to her, and that was just a really huge and beautiful thing," Chiles said. "She just decided, 'You know what? I'm going to make my child after him and see where life takes her.'"

Jordan's invitation to Chiles to meet after the Olympics could also help the star gymnast fulfill a lifetime dream.

"I'm crossing my fingers that I'll actually be able to meet him and just get his advice for being somebody that looks up to him, what he gives out," she said.
