PLNNING THE NE X T 24 HOURS: Most of today will be dry, although areas well west of Madison could see some showers and storms approach by early this evening. Tonight will feature a band of thunderstorms moving across southern Wisconsin. An isolated severe storm is possible, with the main storm threats being gusty winds and heavy rain. As these storms travel eastward they are expected to break up some.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : Any morning storms and clouds will clear out early on Friday, with a seasonably warm end to the week. Labor Day Weekend is looking dry and seasonably warm. On Labor Day, Monday, temperatures will fall slightly below normal, into the lower to mid 70s. Early next week, some areas may see overnight temperatures falling into the upper 40s!
