Armie Hammer Admits He Scraped His Initial Into Girlfriend's Body: 'There Wasn't Even Blood'

Armie Hammer is addressing allegations leveled against him that include claims that he's a cannibal , and accusations from his ex-girlfriend that he branded her with a knife during their relationship.

Nearly four years after the actor's career was derailed amid multiple scandals and headline-grabbing allegations, the actor sat down with Piers Morgan , where he addressed many of the claims made about his sexual proclivities and past behavior.

In January 2021, influencer and model Paige Lorenze released a statement claiming that, during her two-month romance with Hammer, he used a knife to carve the letter "A" into her skin.

Addressing those claims on an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored , published to YouTube on Friday, Hammer said he disagreed with Lorenze's description of events, telling Morgan, "I wouldn't say brand, no."

"There was a scenario that we talked about beforehand. I would basically take a little, tiny point and just kind of trace the letter 'A' -- just like [with] the tip of a small knife," Hammer stated, adding, "There wasn't even blood."

"It was more like a scrape," Hammer said, arguing that it was "along the lines of couples getting their own initials tattooed on each other."

"I guarantee it was such a small thing," he stated. "I think to some it probably sounds really strange. To some, it probably sounds like a very romantic gesture."

According to Lorenze's allegations from 2021, she recounted the incident and stated, "I kind of sat back and let it happen... I didn’t really know what to do or say. As sad as that is, I wanted him to like me and feel like I was down for what he wanted."

"I said, 'How am I supposed to see other people when I have bruises?' He said, 'That’s the point.' I think it was a part of marking and branding," stated Lorenze, who also claimed that her sexual encounters with Hammer involved BDSM and left her feeling traumatized.

"He told me there's a whole community that will do this stuff, that it was not criminal," Lorenze told The Daily Mail at the time. "He really thought that his fantasies were normal behavior in the BDSM, non-normative, sexual kink community. I thought that this is what it was. I thought I was safe."

"You can be just as traumatized by consensual sex," she stated. "It's unacceptable that he coerces women into agreeing to let him hurt them."

Hammer's lawyer denied Lorenze's claims at the time, releasing a statement to Page Six that read, "These assertions about Mr. Hammer are patently untrue. Any interactions with this person, or any partner of his, were completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory."

During the lengthy sit-down interview with Morgan, he asked Hammer about some of the other controversial claims against him as well.

"First of all, address that elephant in the room. Are you a cannibal?" Morgan asked, which Hammer denied. Morgan followed that up with, "Have you ever eaten any human flesh?"

"Not a question I thought I'd have to answer, by the way, but no, never," Hammer replied. When asked how he feels that many people believe he is a cannibal, Hammer said, "If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you."

Explaining the score of leaked text messages he sent to numerous women -- including one in which he stated, "I am 100 percent a cannibal" -- were sexual fantasies, and not true to life.

"This was a very intense affair, very sexually-charged, between two people with very similar proclivities and kinks, and any of those conversations that we had, inside of that relationship, when you take them outside of that context, and put them into broad daylight, doesn't look so good," Hammer said, later explaining that "different people have different sexual fantasies."

After private messages purported but not confirmed to be written by him -- in which sexual graphic fantasies were described -- went viral online in January 2021, Hammer called the claims "bulls**t" and stepped down from his role opposite Jennifer Lopez in Shotgun Wedding. Hammer also faced multiple allegations of rape and physical abuse.

Shortly after, he was dropped by his talent agency and publicist. The rest of his acting work dried up as he faced sexual assault allegations , which he denied and said were "completely consensual." In May 2023, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced that, after an "extremely thorough review," there was insufficient evidence to charge him with a crime .

Shortly before these allegations surfaced, Hammer and his ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, announced their decision to divorce after 10 years of marriage and 13 years together. The pair share 9-year-old daughter, Harper, and son Ford, 7.

A source told ET in June , "Elizabeth continues to amicably co-parent with her ex, and has truly put the past behind her. She is committed to raising her children to be the best they can be, continuing her entrepreneurial endeavors, and looking forward to a bright future for her and her family."
