TV personality floats three possible destinations for Bill Belichick to continue coaching

The New England Patriots decided to part ways with six-time Super Bowl winning head coach Bill Belichick after the poor performance during the 2023 season. And after a very interesting hiring cycle, he was left without a job heading into the 2024 season.

But with his history of success and immense football knowledge, it's no secret that Belichick wants to continue coaching. And one television personality floated three possible destinations that could be in Belichick's future.

“The Belichick list from what I’ve heard are three teams: Philadelphia, Dallas and Buffalo ,” Colin Cowherd said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. “I’ve heard two things about Belichick, and I trust my sources on this.

Considering Belichick's relationship with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, this always seemed like a possibility. Especially considering how much Dallas has struggled in the playoffs under the direction of head coach Mike McCarthy.

As for the Bills, it seems unlikely that the team will part ways with Sean McDermott. While the team has yet to figure out a way to defeat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, McDermott has done a solid job leading the team and they are changing things this season with the hope of getting over that final hump.

And lastly, the Eagles have Nick Sirianni, but after the team's early exit in the playoffs last season, he could be on the hot seat.

So we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Belichick wants to coach where he's familiar

Two of those teams make a little more sense. And that's because Belichick would prefer to stay in the east.

"He’s got his place in Nantucket. He golfs down in Jupiter, Florida. Bill doesn’t have any interest in moving everybody out west. The second thing, he would like the quarterback situation to be stable. The instability post-Brady was his downfall," Cowherd said.

So it seems like Dallas is out of the equation (at least for now).

As for the Eagles, this could be one to keep an eye on.
