MONTCLAIR, NJ - Last week, Montclair Police Officers were dispatched to a residence at 1:41AM in Montclair on a report of a female who was having difficulty breathing.

Devyani Shroff, a Montclair resident, had called her sons, Neil and Niku Shroff, to inform them of her medical distress. During the call, the brothers heard their mother stop breathing and immediately dialed 911. Upon arrival, the officers Giancarlo Corbosiero, Zachary Davis, and Jillian Sofield responded within minutes and found her unresponsive and not breathing and began CPR. They then placed an AED on her until paramedics and EMT’s arrived. While treating Shroff, the EMT’s and paramedics were able to obtain a pulse and the ambulance transported the female to the hospital.
