ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — All Monroe County offices and buildings will be re-opened as the county is recovering from Friday’s CrowdStrike and Microsoft outage.

The outage led to thousands of the county’s computers and servers going offline. Monroe County Information Systems was able to bring back 75% of those devices back online, mainly 911, MCSO, and services related to public safety, health, and human services.

All county employees are required to report to work on Monroe as repairs continue on the remaining devices.

The technology outage led to many banks, hospitals, and services around the world being affected, leading to disruptions in Windows operating systems. Airlines were also impacted, leading to some flights being grounded, delayed, or canceled.

The Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport is still open, but county officials are reminding residents to keep track of any delays or cancellations to flights.

This story will be updated as more information comes out.
