Bobby Shares Scam Alert Over Fake Jury Duty Messages

Bobby Bones shared a scam alert that a lot of people are falling for!

It’s a warning saying you missed jury duty and could get arrested if you don’t pay a fine to the government. He understood why it’s a scam that people fall for because they could think they easily missed a summons in the mail because they mistook it for junk mail.

The clerk’s office released a statement that they would never call or text anyone attempting to collect money, so if you receive a message from someone claiming they are from the clerk’s office and saying you need to pay a fine, it’s a scam. They suggest if you get that call, hang up and call your county court’s office and ask them the question because they will never tell you that you owe money. If you receive a text from a 5-digit number, those are safe because you must register and get approved before you can have that number.
