Riley Green Says A New Album Is Coming This Fall

Coming SOON. Riley Green put out this most recent full-length sophomore studio album Ain't My Last Rodeo in October of 2023, and in April, released a fantastic EP called Way Out Here that featured great songs like "Jesus Saves" and "Worst Way" (yeah, he ran the gamut in terms of topical content). And as I said at the time both projects were released, they're some of his best work yet, and I think Riley has really evolved as an artist in terms of his writing and the depth of his catalog, while managing to stay true to his pure country roots at the same time. Suffice to say, all of those factors have me really looking forward to whatever new music he has coming next, and it sounds like we won't have to wait too much longer to hear it. We recently caught up with Riley ahead of The Country Fest in Ohio, where he revealed that he's in the studio finishing up the last few songs for the album (and by now I assume he is done), and that they're aiming to put out a new record, and certainly some new songs, over the next several months: "Yeah, we're in the studio. I'm actually recording the last few songs on my next album this week. We're gonna put some new music out in the fall." In a feature with Cigars and Spirits Magazine , he confirmed that the album itself should be out this fall, and I can't wait to hear everything that made the final cut: "We’ve got a lot of new music. We’re in the studio as we speak, cutting through the next album that we’re looking to put out in the fall. We’ll probably release some of those songs a little early to give fans a taste of the album before it comes out."
