When will NASCAR return from the Olympic break in 2024?

NASCAR has concluded the 2024 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, meaning the Olympic break has begun. NBC Sports will carry coverage for the 2024 Paris Olympics, so NASCAR will stay on the sidelines for the next few weeks. However, when will NASCAR return from the Olympic break in 2024?

The NASCAR Cup and Truck Series will return at Richmond Raceway on August 10-11, but there will be 19 days of zero on-track action from July 22 to August 9. Meanwhile, the NASCAR Xfinity Series won’t return until Michigan International Speedway on August 16-17, which is 26 days of no racing. It is the sport’s biggest break of the 2024 season.

This will be an excellent opportunity for the drivers and teams to breathe before the last 14 weekends of the 2024 NASCAR season. There will be no racing for the next two weekends, meaning it will be almost three weeks until there is racing again. NASCAR doesn’t have many breaks during the season, so this is much needed for the drivers and teams.
