Just a week ago ESPN's Paul Finebaum revealed that he thinks Deion Sanders is too impatient to contend at Colorado.

A thought that many people across the country share, as the belief around Sanders is he will bolt out of Boulder the first chance he gets. A time that could be right around the corner as his two kids on his squad, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders, are both NFL-bound after this season. While many have suggested his next stop as a coach is the NFL, he has shut down those notions. He has also shut down the idea of leaving Colorado countless times, but who knows if that sentiment would remain consistent if the right program comes knocking.

On Monday, Finebaum identified the possible right program for Sanders, one of the most prestigious in all of college football.

When making an appearance on ESPN's "First Take" and addressing his previous comments about head coach Lincoln Riley, whom he called a disaster, Finebaum decided to name a replacement for Riley rather than go after him some more. That replacement in mind? Deion Sanders.

"Stephen A. I get where you're coming from. To me, it's about trajectory and I think he's lost the momentum," Finebaum told Stephen A. Smith regarding Lincoln Riley. "He had that town. Stephen A. you live there a lot of the year. You have to win in L.A. otherwise you lose badly and I think he's losing badly. Instead of harping on Lincoln Riley, I've decided to come up with a solution. I thought about this the other day. Okay maybe he does well, maybe he doesn't. The answer is really moving forward and I believe the answer after this season is Deion Sanders."

Finebaum cited that he thinks Sanders will grow tired of Boulder, and would instead much rather thrive in Los Angeles where recruiting would be easy.

"He's going to be tired of Colorado cause quite frankly it's not Prime Time. He's done well... as well as he can with his son and Travis Hunter and all of the Stephen A.'s and Shannon Sharpe appearances, but that's going to dry up this year because they're not going to be that great. But you put Prime in Tinseltown and I think you have one of the great combinations in history. We just got through talking about or you did...LeBron has owned that town as have many others before him and I think Deion Sanders as the coach at Southern Cal is the answer to the problems.  Lincoln Riley is a good coach, he's got a great resume Deion Sanders exudes exactly what that community is all about. He takes the recruiting there which Lincoln had and then lost but I think he sustains it, especially now."

Finebaum also iterated that Sanders would be the biggest story in the Big Ten if he were to take the gig.

This would be quite a whirlwind in the college football world, as Lincoln Riley was at one point pushing for the top head coaching spot in college football. As for Sanders, he has only coached 12 games at the Power 4 level and has a record of 4-8. So, with this prediction or suggestion from Finebaum, he is not only suggesting that the Trojans will again faceplant in 2024, but that Sanders and Colorado will do well enough for him to garner a job offer from a college football blue-blood.

What a world that would be.
