Vehicle catches fire on N. Kings Highway in Horry County; no injuries reported

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — No one was hurt Monday afternoon when a vehicle caught fire on N. Kings Highway, authorities said.

The vehicle was fully involved by the time Horry County Rescue crews reached the scene in the 9000 block of North Kings Highway, just north of Wagon Wheel Road. HCFR was dispatched at 2:54 p.m.

The fire was brought under control, but motorists were asked to avoid the area for the safety of those working at the scene.

No additional information was immediately available. Horry County police are assisting at the scene.
