    Nick Wright Has Big 'I Told You So' Moment After USA's Win Over Germany

    Nick Wright is a host on the Fox Sports 1 show 'First Things First' who is known for his bold takes on sports topics ranging from the NBA to the Olympics and beyond.

    On Monday, Wright took to X to remind fans about a LeBron James boast he made earlier in the day that made him look like a genius.

    In its final exhibition game before the Paris Olympics, the United States defeated Dennis Schröder, Moritz Wagner and Franz Wagner's FIBA World Cup champion Germany squad by a final score of 80-76. James took over the game late with key baskets in the clutch.

    Afterward, Wright was in one of his famous "I told you so" moods.

    "I think LeBron James is the best player on Team USA...Even at a shade under 40, 21 years in the league, I don't think there's a better American basketball player," Wright said in a video clip that was posted on Monday afternoon shortly before the USA vs. Germany game ended.

    Wright followed that post up with a retweet shortly after James' heroics. James scored Team USA's final 11 points to take control in the team's exhibition win in London.

    "I said this *before* today's game, by the way," Wright wrote.

    Team USA is finished with its exhibition schedule and will open the Olympics against Nikola Jokic's Serbian national team on Sunday, July 28 at 11:15 a.m. ET .
