Training camp for the Las Vegas Raiders will kick things off on Tuesday in Costa Mesa, California , close to some of their Los Angeles roots, and the team is looking to find out who their starting quarterback will be. That is undoubtedly the biggest storyline entering training camp. And, it will be until training camp ends.

To determine who the quarterback will be in Week 1, there are a lot of different things the Raiders will have to have checked off their list. They have to be able to run the offense, limit turnovers, make good decisions, and get the right players involved. And, honestly, you have to be able to make Davante Adams happy - that's key.

As we get even closer to training camp, Davante Adams has been one of the players that has been asked the most about the situation. Recently, he shared what may be his final thoughts on the situation.

"Yeah man, it's always a tough situation, because when you talk about having the for sure answer, we don't know, because we haven't seen Gardner [Minshew] in a Raiders uniform," Adams said to NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe. "We have seen him make some plays, he's definitely been out there and had some experience. Aidan [O'Connell] on the other hand, hasn't had near as much experience.

"He picked up, and me and Aidan talked about it last year, and he said it himself, this offense requires a high level of execution. You have to be able to sustain a drive. He got thrown into the fire a bit. I do believe in Aidan, he looked pretty good in OTAs, and we will just continue to grow and learn from each other. I have always been a big advocate for him. If you were trying to count your chickens before they hatched with me, you wouldn't have had any eggs."

They have two guys good enough to be starters in this league. The real problem is figuring out who's going to be the starter. They have had some good competition so far this offseason. But the Raiders have so much riding on their quarterback. They have an amazing roster, but if the QB play is bad, none of that matters. So, they have to make sure the best guy is the one who gets the starting job. So far, the competition is good.

O'Connell took over for Jimmy Garoppolo last season when Antonio Pierce was named the interim head coach. He was okay. He had some great games, but he also had some really bad games. And, he will be the first one to tell you that. With Minshew, he started some great games last year as well, and was basically in the same boat, as he also got the Indianapolis Colts close to the playoffs.

The Raiders certainly have options. And, don't forget to keep an eye on the battle for the third quarterback spot . But, as far as starters go, they didn't get their rookie QB. But, they do have two guys who have shown they can win games.
