The 2024 WNBA rookie class is absolutely loaded with future superstars, and no one exemplifies that more than Caitlin Clark.

The former Iowa star and NCAA all-time leading scorer has hit the ground running early in her professional tenure with the Indiana Fever. She, along with other notable rookies like Angel Reese, Cameron Brink, and her college teammate Kate Martin, have all taken the league by storm as they destroy viewership and statistical records weekly while also establishing themselves as the most popular players in the league.

Clark and Reese actually both made the All-Star team and had a chance to take on and beat Team USA before they took off for the Paris Olympics. Prior to the All-Star game this past weekend, which saw Clark dish out 10 assists, she, along with a handful of other stars, was asked about some of the biggest names at the college level.

In an orange carpet interview with The Players' Tribune, Clark and notable names like Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu, and A'ja Wilson were all posed the question of which college player they'd want on their pickup team. Clark answered quickly and confidently, going with USC's JuJu Watkins.

"Has to be JuJu (Watkins)," Clark said . "I mean, it has to be. That's who I'm picking."

Not a bad pick, and one that, along with UConn's Paige Bueckers, was quite popular on the night. Watkins absolutely exploded during her freshman season at USC, averaging 27.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists, trailing only Clark in scoring. She helped the Trojans clinch a No. 1 seed, and took them all the way to the Elite 8 before they fell to Bueckers' Huskies.

Watkins has a few more years before she enters the draft, as she isn't eligible under the current agreement until 2027. Whether or not she and Clark, who is helping turn around the Fever, will have a chance to team up is to be seen.
