It has been quite a year for Xander Schauffele. In just a matter of several weeks, he won his first two career major titles, winning the PGA Championship last May and the Open Championship just last Sunday at Royal Troon.

But the year is not over for the 30-year-old product of San Diego State University. For one, he has the 2024 Paris Olympics to look forward to, which he mentioned in a heartfelt message on Instagram.

"This one was special with both my parents out this week [at the Open.] Thank you Scotland for an incredible two weeks! To my team and sponsors I couldn’t have done it without you. (closed fist emoji) Now time for a little rest before heading to Paris for the Olympics."

“See you in Paris, champ,” Adidas' official Instagram account commented on Schauffele’s Instagram post.

Country music singer Jake Owen commented, “Congrats, playa! So good for golf. Well deserved.”

“USA! USA! Bring home gold,” added singer Mateo Gribbly.

“Look out, Scottie, there’s a new sheriff in town,” one Instagram user replied.

Another fan posted, “The best swing since Big Easy. Congrats!! See you in Paris!”

“Awesome, happy for you, and go defend your medal!” said another social media user.

Schauffele topped the field at the 152nd edition of The Open Championship with a score of 9-under 275—two strokes better than the final scores of runner-ups Justin Rose and Billy Horschel.

So far in his incredible 2024 PGA Tour season, Schauffele is 18/18 with 12 top 10s and 17 top 25s.

Adding a Paris gold medal to his collection after winning a Claret Jug would surely make Schauffele's 2024 resume even more formidable.
