Man charged with murder of woman, 32, in Walthamstow

A man has been charged with the murder of a 32-year-old woman in north-east London.

Alana Odysseos died after being found with stab wounds at a property in Lynmouth Road, Walthamstow, around 3am on Monday.

Scotland Yard confirmed on Tuesday morning Shaine March, 45, of Rainsborough Avenue in Surrey Quays, has been charged with her murder.

He was charged in the early hours of Tuesday and due to appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court later the same day.

March and Ms Odysseos were known to each other, police say.

Ms Odysseos was found suffering stab wounds by police who were called to Lynmouth Road to reports of a woman injured.

She died at the scene, and an investigation was launched led by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
