ST. LOUIS – Some people in a south city neighborhood are living in fear as someone shot into their homes multiple times.

There were two separate shootings in a span of two days. The first one occurred Sunday during the day, and the second just after 11 p.m. Monday night. A vehicle is seen on video speeding away after both episodes.

These shootings are all taking place on the 6900 block of Alabama Avenue in the Carondelet neighborhood of south St. Louis.

Fox 2’s Nissan Rogue Runner, Brian Howe, was on the scene after the latest incident overnight as police investigated.

There were some 30 evidence markers, which typically indicate things like shell casings. Fortunately, nobody has been hit but one resident there says people feel terrorized.

All of this apparently just started recently. A neighbor says one home has been shot up twice, another home has been shot at once, and yet another home has had a brick thrown at it.

Neighbors say police even put one of their real time mobile cameras along the street Monday morning after the Sunday incident but that didn’t stop the shots from being fired last night.

We talked with a resident on the street about trying to deal with what’s been happening.

“They’ve done this in broad daylight and they’ve done it again tonight for the third time in eight days, around 11 o’clock, while all of us were sleeping,” resident Aleks Saric says. “Terrified. you know, a lot of these neighbors have kids and have to work in the morning. so we’re just kind of getting exhausted of being terrified and worried that it might be our house next time.”

Residents along Alabama say they don’t know why they are being targeted. There is no information about any potential suspects in these cases. Fox 2 has reached out to the police to see if they can provide more details.
