Jeff Teague recently shared a hilarious story about his former teammate, Jamal Crawford, on the 'Club 520' podcast, providing fans with an entertaining glimpse into Crawford's unique playing style and personality.

"He'd be your friend off the court, like, 'Yeah, T, my nigga.' And then during the game, he'd be like, 'Hey, Molly, Molly, when we get in the game, I got you.' But then he'd get the ball, and you'd be over in the corner calling, 'Molly, Molly, Molly,' and he'd shoot over two defenders."

"He'd hit that shot, though, and say, 'I got you on the next one.' I loved him. He was the coolest teammate, but boy, he wanted to score—that's what he did. If you were open and he thought you could make it, he'd pass it to you."

"When I was a rookie, he didn't believe I could make it, so he'd just shoot it himself and say, 'I got you on the next one.' Even in practice, I'd be like, 'God damn, bro, how do you get this good at basketball?' It was like a mixtape every time he got the ball. I won't lie—every time he got the ball in Atlanta, everybody stood up."

"When I first watched him play, I was an arrogant, cocky young dude. He came to the team and was kind of chilling during preseason workouts and five-on-five games. I thought, 'I'm nicer than this guy, he just shoots a lot.'"

"Then he finally played a serious game, and I was like, 'Oh, this guy doesn't miss. Okay, that's the difference. I'm missing.' He's one of the best players to ever play basketball. I don't know why he isn't in the Hall of Fame yet. A real hooper."

Teague recalled how Crawford , known for his scoring prowess, often seemed more focused on putting the ball in the basket than distributing it to his teammates. Teague humorously described how Crawford would promise to pass the ball during the game but would ultimately opt to shoot, even when surrounded by defenders.

Teague continued to praise Crawford's talent, emphasizing how his scoring ability made him a standout player. He admitted that as a rookie, Crawford didn't trust him to make shots, leading Crawford to take them himself. Teague also shared his initial impressions of Crawford during preseason workouts and five-on-five games, where he underestimated Crawford's abilities. He quickly learned that Crawford's shooting accuracy was unmatched.

Crawford responded to Teague's story on social media platform X, finding it amusing and sharing a good laugh.

    "Hilarious!!"

Crawford's former teammates and colleagues also joined in, adding their perspectives on the story. Blake Griffin , who played with Crawford on the Clippers , commented:

"This is hilarious but to keep it real 'Mal dropped me plenty of dimes in our time together. I can't complain."

Lou Williams , another legendary sixth man, added:

    "Teague story telling high level."

Adam Lefkoe, Crawford's colleague at NBA on TNT, noted:

"If he thinks you can make it, he'll pass it to you" is the realest Mal quote I've heard."

These reactions highlight not only Crawford's incredible talent and unique style of play but also the camaraderie and mutual respect among NBA players.
