Arsenal have confirmed that Chido Obi-Martin will not renew his contract at the Gunners and will leave as free agent.

Obi-Martin has caught attention across social media in recent weeks amid speculation surrounding his future club.

It's been suggested by multiple outlets that Manchester United are leading the race to sign the prolific youngster but German clubs are also keeping a close eye on the situation.

The 16-year-old striker, who ended the previous season with Arsenal’s Under-18s by scoring 29 goals in his final 11 games, is yet to decide where he is going to play next season.

Mikel Arteta's side could see further departures from academy products but also first team members.

Charlie Patino, one of the more prominent young players, did not make the squad for the USA tour and is anticipated to leave Arsenal this summer, with interest from clubs in Spain.

Gabriel Jesus has been rumored to be holding talks with Saudi Arabian sides, but he, along with Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe are currently part of Arsenal's squad in the USA for preseason friendlies against Bournemouth, Liverpool, and Man United.

Jesus and Smith Rowe also featured their 2-0 victory over Leyton Orient on Saturday during a behind-closed-doors friendly at London Colney.

There are 12 academy players in the 26-man squad for the USA tour, as senior players are recovering from the Copa America and 2024 European Championship.

Aaron Ramsdale, David Raya, Declan Rice, and Bukayo Saka are missing the tour after reaching the final of Euro 2024, while Takehiro Tomiyasu is out due to a knee injury.
