Sancho has returned to training with United after spending the second half of the previous season on loan at his old club Borussia Dortmund, following his public disagreement with Erik ten Hag. Ten Hag and Sancho had a meeting to clear the air earlier this month.
The England winger is reported to have reflected on past issues, with both parties agreeing to put their differences aside and move forward. Sancho played in the second half of United's 2-0 friendly victory over Rangers at the weekend.
United are hoping to recover around half of the $94m (£73m) they paid Dortmund for the winger back in 2021. Sancho was sidelined by Ten Hag after publicly challenging his manager's reason for excluding him from the matchday squad for a 3-1 loss away to Arsenal last season.
Ten Hag claimed Sancho was left out due to poor training performances, with the 24-year-old taking to social media to dispute that view, effectively calling his boss a liar.
Sancho's has made 82 appearances and has 12 goals to his name over three seasons that have failed to live up to expectations. The winger was granted a three-month break by ten Hag in the previous season to address physical and mental health concerns before making a comeback.
After a loan spell at Dortmund during the latter half of last season, Sancho was reintegrated into the United squad earlier this summer. Following frank discussions with Ten Hag, he was permitted to rejoin first-team training.
Ever since their reconciliation became public knowledge, Ten Hag has been eager to put the past behind them. While he has acknowledged Sancho as a "good player", the Dutch manager has refrained from guaranteeing his stay beyond the summer.
"As we said, we've drawn the line," Ten Hag commented on the Sancho situation. " Manchester United needs good players and Jadon is a good player. We have drawn that line and we move on. We've drawn the line. We move on."
