Aly Raisman has some advice for former teammate Simone Biles and other members of Team USA as they take the floor at the Paris Olympics.

"Treat it like a normal day of practice," Raisman told Olympics.com.

The former Olympian, who teamed up with Biles to win gold in the team competition in 2016, said the upcoming Paris Olympics can be nerve-wracking. Raisman said she overcame that by falling back on her years of preparation and advised this year's team members to do the same.

“When I was so nervous at those points at the Olympics, I kind of relied on autopilot and just kind of trusted my training," she said.

Raisman won two gold medals at the 2012 London Olympics and took home another gold at the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. The following year, she came forward as one of the victims of former Olympic team physician Larry Nasser. Raisman later read an impact statement at his sentencing, and later became an advocate for other gymnasts who had suffered abuse.

Raisman said she needed some time away from the sport, but now is returning in a new role as a broadcaster. The new outlook has helped Raisman re-discover her love for the sport.

“It’s been so wonderful in 2024 to be back in the gymnastics world,” Raisman said. “I feel like I kind of have re-fallen in love with the sport, which is really nice."
