Molly Burnett To Produce & Star In Indie Sci-Fi Pic ‘Giant Void’

EXCLUSIVE : Molly Burnett ( Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ) is set to produce and star in Giant Void , an indie sci-fi film marking the feature debut of writer-director Michael Reisinger.

Shooting in Colorado, the film centers on a brilliant computer scientist (Burnett) whose work on a world-changing piece of software exposes a secret plot within her company. As she grows increasingly close to a co-worker who may be part of the conspiracy, she’s forced to rethink the nature of her relationships, her life, and her place in the universe.

Reisinger’s screenplay garnered excitement after placing in the 2021 BlueCat, Slamdance, ScreenCraft, and Scriptapalooza competitions, as well as landing on the 2022 Coverfly Red List.

Along with Burnett and Reisinger, Andrew Baird ( The Peanut Butter Falcon ), Shepard E. Smith, and Adia Stark are set to produce.

Said Burnett of her excitement in delving into the world of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), “In our polarized, screen-focused times, this story couldn’t be more relevant and necessary.
