The footage, provided by Davis’ attorney Parker Stinar, showcased an FBI agent leaning over toward Davis — in a beige hoodie and gray hat — in his seat to place him in handcuffs.

The 51-year-old Davis first shared news about his run-in with law enforcement on July 15 via an Instagram post and is now suing United Airlines.

“This video confirms the harrowing tale of multiple law enforcement agents, including the FBI, boarding the plane and apprehending a shocked, terrified, humiliated, and compliant Mr. Davis in front of his wife, Tamiko, minor children, and more than one hundred passengers,” Stinar said in a statement. “The rationale behind the United Airlines employee’s deceitful or inaccurate report extends far beyond a mere ice request or innocent tap on the shoulder.”
Davis claimed that he was detained on a flight from Denver to Orange County, Calif. after asking a flight attendant for a cup of ice for his son, writing that he “lightly tapped” the attendant’s arm to get his attention.

Davis then claimed that the airline worker shouted “Don’t hit me” and “left the cart to hurriedly approach the front of the plane.”
From there, Davis says he was detained when the plane landed in California and later questioned by authorities.
“I refuse to stand by without speaking out on this disgusting display of injustice and deplorable treatment by United Airlines,” Davis said. “These lies and the ensuing events have the capacity to tarnish the reputation I have spent decades building, and this person should not be able to do this again to anyone in the future.”

In the time since Davis made his account public, United Airlines has apologized and the flight attendant in question is not working for the time being.
“This is clearly not the kind of travel experience we strive to provide, and we have reached out to Mr. Davis’s team to apologize,” United said in a statement. “We have removed the flight attendant from duty while we closely review this matter.”

The three-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion played his entire seven-year career with the Denver Broncos, last playing in 2001 and being inducted into Canton in 2017.
