A mother was among three people arrested last week after her 6-year-old son was attacked by a pit bull while his hands and feet were handcuffed inside an Ohio home, according to police.

The young boy was bitten on the neck and ear on Aug. 17 around 5 p.m., and was airlifted to a hospital from the Savannah house in serious condition, the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Following the attack, sheriff investigators learned the boy’s hands and feet were restrained when the vicious dog launched at him, authorities said.
