CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — West Virginia Department of Administration Cabinet Secretary Mark Scott has resigned, effective July 31, according to Gov. Jim Justice’s Office.

Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV) appointed Scott to the role on Nov. 1, 2021, the West Virginia Department of Administration website says.

The website says Scott was an Elkins City Councilmember from April 2001 until 2016, when he was elected to the Randolph County Commission in 2016. He was Commission President from Jan. 8, 2017, to Oct. 31, 2021.
