MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — If you’re headed to a game in Morgantown this fall, it will likely cost you a pretty penny.
A study conducted by betting website Oddspedia measured the price of a gameday experience for nearly 70 of the top college football teams across the U.S. including the price of tickets and various items fans might purchase while cheering on their favorite team.
The study measured the costs of the following:
Tickets for two people
Two hot dogs
Two sodas
Two beers
Cost of parking
In total, fans can expect to spend a total of $264 on gameday in Morgantown, the second highest of any college team in the country—only behind the University of Oklahoma. The breakdown of the cost at WVU is as follows:
WVU’s place in second is only $3 higher than third-place Notre Dame and $12 behind first-place Oklahoma. The three schools were also in the top three when Oddspedia conducted this survey last year, with WVU and Oklahoma moving up and Notre Dame moving down. However, WVU’s gameday cost has not changed in that time.
With this ranking, the Mountaineers have the most expensive gameday experience in the Big 12 and are $60 more expensive than the next team down, Oklahoma State, which sits at #26 nationally. You can find the full gameday cost breakdown of the Big 12 below:
The University of Central Florida was the cheapest gameday experience of the schools surveyed and the only one under $100. Brigham Young University and the University of Houston were the only two Big 12 teams not surveyed.
