Great Dane's Happy Greeting for His BFF Is So Full of Sweetness

Seeing dogs spend time with their favorite humans is cute enough, but when we get to see them get together with their favorite fellow dogs? Well, it's hard to top that! It's hard to predict who your dog's BFF will be, since that's something they basically decide for themselves... but when it happens, you won't be able to miss it. There are those special, excited zoomies and tail wags that only happen when their best dog friend is nearby.

And just in case you need to see just how cute that is, this TikTok video is the perfect example of it. Seeing these two pups reunite is the sweetest — there's absolutely no doubt that they're each other's bestie.

This video from @finnthebigman that was shared on Monday, July 22 starts with a black and white Great Dane named Finn anxiously awaiting the arrival of his best friend.

Once he finally sees him, he's off, galloping down the sidewalk to greet him. The love and excitement is most definitely mutual; his BFF doesn't try to hide that he's pumped for their playdate!

And if you're loving this as much as I am, you'll be pleased to know that this level of excitement is what Finn shows his favorite humans, too. In another video , we see him greet his mom when she comes home from work with all of the same enthusiasm and joy (and gallops). With Finn around, no one in his life will ever have to wonder how much they are loved. And truly, greetings like this are one of the best parts of having a dog!

    Harlequin Great Danes

Though Finn's mom describes him as a "cow" dog because of his black and white pattern, there's actually a name for this pup's coloring. He's considered a Harlequin Great Dane , and this pattern is one of the most desired. It's easy to see why; Finn is beautiful.

According to Web MD , this pattern is also the most difficult to breed, since it isn't passed down from parents to their puppies; instead, color genes must come together to create the pattern, which isn't exactly something anyone can control.

It's also hard for a dog to officially qualify as harlequin — at least, in the eyes of the American Kennel Club , which requires the dogs to be "white with black torn patches" or merle patches. There are even more specific requirements for the coloring, too: "Black torn patches well distributed over the body; with whole or partial white neck. Black pigment may be seen on the skin in white areas. No patch should be so large as it appears to be a blanket. Eligible but less desirable, are black hairs showing through the white base coat which gives a salt and pepper or dirty appearance."

But whether or not your Great Dane fits those standards doesn't mean they aren't a gorgeous dog — or that they won't show you all the love that Finn is showing his favorite dogs and humans. Who can complain about that?
