Caitlin Clark And Angel Reese Jersey Sales Rankings Revealed

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese has another record to boast proving both rookie's popularity ranking among WNBA veterans as their jersey sales reports came out.

The WNBA's growth in popularity continues to be made evident by the amount of viewership and revenue that the league brings in.

A recent report by Sports Business Journal consisting of data provided to them by Fanatics revealed that the league is selling merchandise at an all-time high. The study concluded the sales of WNBA merchandise across the Fanatics' sites have seen more than a 500% increase since the season started.

According to Xavier Hunter of Sports Business Journal, this marks the highest in league history for sales of fan gear for the first half of the season. Hunter also revealed that items such as player-specific jerseys and t-shirts have seen their sales increase by 1,000%.

Leading the way in those jersey sales is exactly what most WNBA fans would expect, as rookie sensations Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese came in at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively with the Indiana Fever guard leading the league.

It is also worth noting that Clark's Iowa teammate Kate Martin was in the top five in jersey sales, one spot ahead of her teammate, A'ja Wilson who was at No. 5.

The surge in the sport's popularity has in large part been attributed to the attention that Clark and Reese's rivalry brought to the league, and it is something that will only help the league for years to come.

Aside from leading the league in jersey sales, Clark and Reese also made the All-Star team and were able to help lead Team WNBA to a victory over Team USA.
