The Las Vegas Raiders are at training camp now. It's the first time we have talked to Antonio Pierce since OTAs, but, nothing has really changed. The Raiders will have everyone at camp. The rookies came a few days ago, and the veterans will be there on Wednesday. This year, training camp is back in Southern California , where the Raiders are embracing some of their Los Angeles roots.
But, training camp is where the real work gets started. It's where the team starts their 2024 season, because now, every week, they will have football. The pads aren't on yet, and won't be till next week, but this is where the real work begins
For his press conference, head coach Antonio Pierce talked about several things as they gear up for the season. He talked about the starters playing in preseason games , what he expects to get out of his first training camp as a head coach, and even opened up about his thoughts on Davante Adams in the Netflix hit show Receiver.
"There's nothing to talk about. Davante signed up for a show, and there were things shown in the show. it is what it is," Antonio Pierce said at the introductory presser to training camp in Costa Mesa, California.
The biggest thing is - that was then, this is now. That was with a quarterback who is no longer on the team. That was with the former regime and so many other factors. It's a new year, he is not still mad. But, you love that Pierce isn't caudling Adams. As he said - he signed up for the show.
The Raiders have any of those issues that may have been there, figured out. If they hadn't, Adam would not be continually letting everyone know he does not want to be traded, even though the rumors have not stopped. It's over, and they have moved on.
